Fire Testing Facilities
ASEANFIRE’s fire testing facility is equipped with research, intermediate, and full-scale fire resistance furnaces, enabling us to deliver a comprehensive range of fire resistance testing services for the building industry. We conduct both standardised fire tests and customised fire resistance testing in accordance with internationally recognised standards, including ISO, EN, BS, and ASTM.
Our advanced testing capabilities support the performance evaluation of construction materials, structural elements, and passive fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and certification requirements. With a strong focus on accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency, ASEANFIRE provides reliable test results, fast turnaround times, and end-to-end support—from product development and testing to final fire certification.
Our full-scale horizontal (floor) fire resistance test furnace is engineered to assess the fire resistance performance of horizontal building elements—such as slabs, ceilings, beams, and ventilation ducts—under standardised fire exposure conditions in accordance with applicable international test standards.
Our full-scale vertical (wall) fire resistance test furnace is engineered to assess the fire resistance performance of vertical building elements—including walls, doors, fire dampers, lift landing doors, and penetration sealing systems—under standardised fire exposure conditions in accordance with applicable international test standards.
Our full-scale vertical (wall) fire resistance test furnace is purpose-built to evaluate the fire resistance performance of vertical building elements—including walls, doors, fire dampers, lift landing doors, and penetration sealing systems—under rigorously controlled, standardised fire exposure conditions, in full compliance with international test standards.
The indicative fire resistance test furnace is designed for small-scale, preliminary fire testing of materials and assemblies, enabling the assessment of their performance under elevated temperature exposure in accordance with relevant international fire test standards.
This miniature fire resistance test furnace enables fire resistance testing of small vertical specimens, with typical sample dimensions of 0.5 m × 0.5 m, providing efficient evaluation under controlled conditions.
In addition to standard designs, we manufacture fire resistance test furnaces that are custom-built to meet specific client requirements and exact technical specifications.
Custom furnaces can be configured with specialised openings to facilitate three-dimensional (3D) beam–column testing, including applications involving shear connectors and ventilation ducts. Zoned heating control can also be incorporated to independently regulate temperature exposure above or below ceiling assemblies.
Enhanced firing capacity can be provided to achieve rapid temperature rise, enabling compliance with the most demanding hydrocarbon fire curves, including RWS, RABT-ZTV, and UL 1709.
Our dedicated service teams are available to provide on-site support when required. Complete turnkey solutions are also offered, including installation and commissioning by ASEANFIRE personnel upon request.
BS 8414 Part 1: Test method for non-loadbearing external cladding systems applied to the masonry face of the building,
BS 8414 Part 2: Test method for non-loadbearing external cladding systems fixed to and supported by a structural steel frame.
The External Cladding Test apparatus is used to evaluate the extent of damage or the ability of the external cladding system to resist the propagation of the fire upwards or penetration through the system.
The fire testing system simulates a fully developed fire in a room abutting to face of a building and venting through an aperture.
